Year's ago while going through microfiche files at the archives in Nova Scotia I came across a document titled "Crowells Scrapbook of New Englanders in Nova Scotia". In that document I copied an article that appeared on May 12, 1931 in The Yarmouth Herald which gave a historic sketch of the Chase descendants of William that later went to Canada as Loyalists. Does anyone in the group also have this article, and if not I would be willing to mail a copy to anyone that would like to add it to their records. Sincerely, Greg Chase Republic of Korea

Re: William and Mormanism. Joseph Smith didn't invent Mormanism until 1820.
ALL, Can someone please help. I seem to remember that one of the reasons William left either Roxbury or Yarmouth was because he chose to follow the beliefs of a moman preacher. Has any one got anything on this? I would be grateful for any help, Keith Hume Keith Hume, email khume@netcomuk.co.uk CHASE-L Website at:- http://www.surnameweb.org/centers/c/chase/index.html http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~khume/home.html Kent,England Researching:- HULME,DAWSON,(In Lancs.) Re the above so far 7 persons have volunteered to contribute towards the research. On this basis I will proceed and will be writing an email to those concerned. The money will be collected in the US and sent to me and I will initiate the research. I do appreciate and fully understand the protocol of who should be allowed to display an armorial but am told by the College of Arms that there would never be an objection of using by any descendant. They did say it is "good form" to state who the armorial was granted to. ALL, I realise I am possibly mis-using this Group but I could not resist this. It was sent to me by a young 13 year-old CHASE descendant:- Hi all, I received this letter from a wonderful lady, come and sign her = guestbook for her sons birthday!! I am trying to give my stepson a very special birthday gift. I was wondering if you could help. Below is the message I am sending to different people. I would love to have more kids sign my son's 16th = Birthday Guestbook. I would like to invited you to visit my stepson Happy Birthday Page. He = is a child with disabilities and is having a tough time adjusting to them = as a teenager. I only married his dad last August. My husband never had = custody of Adam. However, due to family problems it was felt we could meet his needs better at this time. So in March he moved in. I wanted to give = him a special party but he only has one friend who is away all summer. So I = made him a Birthday web page. It is very family friendly. This was my first attempt. It took a lot of trial and error. I only got = the idea about two weeks ago so I had to work long nights to finish it so = people could sign his guest book. Most important a lot of love for my son went into it. We are trying to get 500 names in his guestbook before his Birthday on = July 16. Adam does not know about this site it is a surprise. I hope this = site will help built his self esteem and know in his heart he is loved. Would you please pass the url for Adam's Party on to all your friends so they can sign too. Holly, I have the same information that you have. I do have 14 children by Nathan Chase and Abigail Milk. My information came from the NEHGR but I would have to look up the page. Maxine
I am hoping someone might have some information on the wife of Nathan Chase. I have been working on another line, and got some information on the Milk line and they had no record of Abigail Milk as a daughter of Job Milk and Abigail Davol. I would like to know if anyone has info on Abigail Milk, her date of birth, death, marriage date to Nathan, and who her parents were. Was she a daughter of Job Milk and Abigail Davol? The information I have shows: Nathan Chase b. abt 1723, d, 1806, son of Phineas Chase b. 2/3/1692-3 and Desire Wing b. 2/3/1698-9. His wife, Abigail Milk, b. abt 1722, daughter of Job Milk and Abigail Davol. Is my information correct? If anyone can help with dates and parents for Abigail Milk I would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance for your help. Holly M. Snead
