    3. Keith, they should all be there, I was just posting the details on the Ezra and Isaac members of my database as there was some confusion between me and other list members as to who was who. I had posted a response earlier that I found that there apparently are 2 different Isaacs born in 1791 that are cousins. 3. Charlie, I just took time to look at your home page. It appears that your Isaac is a cousin to the Isaac that I was referring to. Our common link is a couple of generation further back, with James CHASE & Elizabeth BLETHEN. I'm through James JR, brother to your Zaccheus. The Isaac that is a brother to my line was also born in 1791, on 12 Dec in Little Compton, Newport, RI. Jackson ANdersen Provo, UT IBSSG Jackson Andersen wrote: > Hi Cousin. 3. ALL, I am sincerely touched by all the wishes and thanks I have received and also the wishes of good luck in my new endevours. HOWEVER I should make it clear. I AM NOT LEAVING THE LIST. I will still be here and If anyone has a query they think I may be able to help with then please contact me. To those who asked what was involved in uploading and maintaining the Chase Site I would thank them for their interest but feel that a little experience of Web Site authoring an use of FTP and Telnet programmes is very desireable in this case. The database uses by far and away the best Gedcom to Html converter I have ssen. None of the converting which produces masses of files each one of which you have to upload to the site. The whole thing is run by a "script" and all that need to be done is to upload the revised gedcom, Telnet a single command and in 20 seconds an 11,000 name database is there on site with features none of the other programmes I have seen has. The Researcher page is another example of a "script" which gets the "host" computer to do all the work. I have always considered the site was at least a 2 person job to cover all that needed to be done. I am sad that I never completed the ARCHIVEs page as I intended. I will be puting a page giving some General sites in the USA as well as the UK ones I have there already but it is an ENORMOUS task to list all the State Archives AND their County sites together with a first hand review of each. Most of the sites are listed by GENWEB but I would be interested in finding if there was a good possibility of finding CHASE their. In this regard I consider the Eastern States Land Records site onr of the best on the WEB. I will be puting the page on the site, that includes my review, with in the next few days. It is a MUST visit. You will see why. In an obituary for my Aunt's g-grandmother, it is stated that she and her brothers "were left orphans" when their parents, living in Cedar County, IA, were both killed on 3 Jun 1860, in "the Comanche cyclone." Would that be an Indian raid, or did it refer to a tornado/cyclone with all the fury of an Indian raid? Does anyone know? Barb

    2. Wow, what a shocking thought to have Keith abandon his good works. If guilt will bring you back, here is a bagful. But seriously, you have started such a worthwhile site, with good judgment and mature actions, that it is hard to visualize someone else taking on the task...of even maintenance let alone the future. Hope you remain at least a guardian. Thanks ever so much for your contributions. Rex
