Are any of the grave stones in Walnut Hill Cemetary in West Newbury listed? Thomas Chase (Sept 15, 1680-Feb 10, 1756) and Sarah Stevens (c. 1680-October 25, 1760) are buried there. Do you have pictures of those stones? Auntquip@aol.com

Hi Melody, I am the maintainer. The Chase list was set up before I began maintaining it. It has worked this way for many years. I believe all Rootsweb is set up the way this list is, but I am not sure. I maintain some lists on my job for the state. Those, I know how to revise the controls for. And, some work this way, some many other ways. This one, I have just helped people get on and off, but have never studied how to revise its structure. If users want it, I will study up on how and whether it can be done. A query about Elizabeth Chase was posted but none of the answers. I am interested because she married into the Baker line. I don not know her heritage. I am an 8th great granddaughter of Aquilla and it looks like maybe another Chase line as well. Thank you so much. Meg Chase
Hello all, I am on other email lists, and when I hit "reply" the address automatically put into the "Send to" box is the address of the email list NOT an individual who wrote to the list. That is the way it should work. However, on this list when I hit reply the address that automatically goes into the "send to" box is that of the individual. This means every time we want to send an email to the group as a whole we have to delete the individual's email address and cut and past the email list address into the "send to" box. Does anyone know who is in charge of this email list and if they can change this? Melody
Hi Lana, I'm not familiar with your Chase line, but I wonder if there might be a close connection somewhere since my Chases are Kansans. I never heard of Wichita, Iowa. Since I live in Wichita, Kansas I'm sure I would have remember if I had. I just bought a new Rand McNally Road Atlas and there is no such place listed in Iowa. Maybe somebody just made a mistake. Leslie - I am sure you will receive many answers to your query, but I have just been looking at my CHASE records and have them at hand, so I will add my 2 cents worth. I have Elizabet, daughter of William 2 CHASE as being born circa 1656 in Yarmouth, married Daniel BAKER. Her brother, John, married Elizabeth BAKER, sister of Daniel.
