No, unfortunately I cannot alter data. The reason is that it was frozen as the demands on the host coputer were getting excessive as the database grew. I have contacted surnameweb but so far no response. The only other solution would be to delete it entirely which I am VERY reluctant to do, for as you say it does include everything when compiling the files from my gedcom. I will chase up surnameweb and see if I can get agreement to access it on condition I do not INCREASE the amount of data. Hi, Patti. Abner Chase died Jan. 18, 1815 FROM JOSIAH PAINE PAPERS AT NEHGS Elizabeth Chase m. David Bassett Dec. 19, 1782 according to The Family of Nathan Bassett of Chatham NEHGR January 1971 Vol. CXXV, p. 11, and they were married Nov. 28, 1782 according to Desc. of Wm. Chase NEHGR October 1933, p 324. My guess is that the November date would be the when the marriage bann was published. Neither account says where so it could have been Chatham or Yarmouth. Elizabeth probably died in Litchfield, ME as the family removed there shortly after 1800-NEGHR 1971, Vol. 125, p. 12 I don't have a death date for Deborah or Lydia. Lydia married her first cousin Lot in Yarmouth. Nathan probably died in Yarmouth and he married Mercy on Jan 26, 1782 in Yarmouth Anthony died January 13, 1842 In West Yarmouth, on Friday night last, Deacon Anthony CHASE, aged 83 years. Mercier, Jane "newspaper Obituaries from the Yarmouth Register 1841-1846". Deborah m. Enos Nickerson in 1780 in Yarmouth according to the LDS site and more information about them: "Enos Nickerson, born 1757, entered Washington's army at 18 and seved his country during the seven years war with England. He died in 1839 and was buried upon his late farm. His wife, Deborah, died in 1854. The land taken by the Hotel Belmont where these old peple were buried, made it necessary to move the remains to Pine Grove Cemetary. These people are remembered by some now living in the village, and the marble slabs on the bluffs have been known landmarks for years." Aug. 14, 1894- At Home by Marcia Monbleau p.32. The farm would have been in West Harwich as that is where the Belmont Hotel is located. Jared Chase, son of Jared Chase & Rhoda King was born in 1839 and is listed as married to Mary Chapman in 1861. They had 2 children: Edith and Abby. Mary Chapman died in 1863. Jared married again in 1864, to Mary Tifft. Abby is my wife's great grandmother. I cannot find any information on Mary Chapman or her other daughter Edith. I would appreciate any help or guidance. Now that we have a representative sample of Informations from some of the Group, I would make the following comments 1) There is a high percentage offering assistance of all kinds. 2) Although I know many of you have produced Web pages I have yet to receive information presented as a complete page which requires the minimum of editing. However please remember that quite large amounts of text are acceptable as well especially about more recent generations. Did your father/grandfather fight in the war? Every one has something fairly unique that Has happened to them. 3) Thankfully I have not been deluged with information although I still have about 5 to compile and upload 4) You may notice a variation in design of the pages. Where there are pictures provided I have kept the page backgrounds white but where no picture is sent I am now adding the state/province/flag. 5 I do REALLY hope most of you send pictures. Most of you are from north America but here in England I really enjoy the pictures. It is obligatory for my grandsons, who visit every week day ,to see them but they do enjoy them. Pictures of places are particularly welcome but my youngest,(9), asked me who were all the people inthe " brown tinted photo" and when I told him that they were some of the many "cousins" I have found he was quick to point out that that meant they were HIS cousins also. Does ANYONE have information on Samuel Rodman Chase or Chace. He was a sealer and was lost at sea Despatch. Colonial Government schooner, 20 tons. Built at Macquarie Harbour, Tasmania, 1825-1826. Captain Samuel Rodman Chase. Arrived at Hobart on her maiden voyage on 17 February 1826. Sailed from Hobart for Maria Island with stores in March 1826, but was never seen or heard from again.
