I think there's a good liklihood that this is your Samuel, despite some inconsistencies, but I don't have proof. The Attleborough VR (Attleborough or Attleboro is in Bristol County, MA adjacent to Taunton) has on page 70 (births) "Chandler, Samuel Henry, s. Benj[ami]n and Mary (Cobb), Feb. 9, 1824." In the Taunton VR there's an entry I can't explain, but feel is probably in error. On page 96, Attleborough marriages, there's this in the Chandlers, "Salmon H., single, 22, printer, of T. [int. Attleboro], s. Benja[min] and May (sic) of T., and Sarah H. Lincoln, 20, spinner, of T., d. Fanny S., Oct. 10, 1845, in T. [Salmon H. of Attleboro[ugh], C.R.3." C.R.3 means the record is from, in this instance, the Broadway Congregational Church (Trinitarian). The VR was published in 1929, so I don't know what that church would be now or what it was in the middle 1800s. I have to get to work, so I don't have much time to look further now. Probably the church records are on film at the Family History Library if the records survived. I suspect that "Salmon" is an error on someone's part. If the record is from the church records it may be that the church was that of the bride's family and the minister wrote the record some days later or perhaps after a long day--there are countless possibilities, but this seems a good fit which you might want to try to pursue. Let me know if you think I might be able to do anything to help.
