James Chandler was there in 1860 he joined the civil war there and married a Roxanna Jones b. 1849 they married mar 1879 in Carroll county, IN. They had 3 children Charles, Nancy, Malinda. James died feb 1891 in Delphi, IN. And is buried in the I.O.O.F cem. Then I have a Robert Chandler b. 1831 in Delaware. he married a Melissa Timmons. His father was George and mother was Nancy Timmons. I'm not for sure how he fix's in. But I know that James lived with his brother William in the 1870's census for Delphi. William Chandler was b. 1842 in (Pickaway county?) OH. He married a Laura B. Shaffer b. 1848 Carroll county, IN., d. 1916 in Wabash, IN. They are both buried at the I.O.O.F cem., just north of Delphi. They married in 1866 in Delphi, IN. There children were Adelaide (Addie), William, Lewis, Arither, Walter, Jennice, Jessie. William and Robert also were in the civil war from Carroll county, IN. Also f! ound this info., ( Indiana, Carroll county, Delphi. Chandler, James & William App. Guardian Peter Kist Guardian of William & James Chandler May 10, 1852. Prob bk 3, pg 412. bk B pg 122 Guardian ordered to report June 12, 1857 ).
