Thought I would update people on my recent Chandler discovery. My ancestor William A. CHANDLER was b. in 1817 in Genesee County. Over the last three weeks I have received information that indicates his parents were David CHANDLER b. ca. 1779 VT- d. 1827 Lockport, Genesee Co., NY) and Comfort GILMAN (b. 1785- d. between 1850 and 1860, prob Lenawee Co., MI). After David's death, Comfort was married in 1840 in Royalton, Niagara Co., NY to Felix HOLDRIDGE. The 1820 and 1830 census suggest David and Comfort had ten children. I have been able to identify four: 1. Eliza B. b. 1816 2. William A. b. 1817 3. Miranda b. 1825 4. Samuel Does anyone have info on this family or on David's ancestors? Homer Thiel 3975 N.
