The Unknown County Query page is up and running for the State of Alabama. It is an USGENWeb project and only query for for the state of Alabama will be accepted. If your ancestors where in Alabama and you don't know which County to post a query to then this is the place go. There is a state site map provided for those who know the county to post to. I will be using the CCHelper program and that will give your queries maximum exposure to the Rootsweb community through Surname helper. You can go to <http://www.rootsweb.com/~alunknow/index.html> and fill out the form provided. Your queries and surnames will be posted as soon as possible.
