Hi ! Donna, I have been in search of my father's birth location for many years. As I mentioned before, all information I have states he was born Joe or Joseph Buster Chandler, Spokane, Washington, Sep. 09. 1899. Father's name either John J. or A.J. Chandler. Mother's name unknown. Since most of my search has been in trying to find Joe in Washington & surrounding States, I have concentrated mostly in those areas and primarily 1900-1910-1920 census. I am sorry that I do not have any information for you on your George, since I don't go back that many years in my search yet. If I ever get past the 1900's maybe I will see something on George Chandler - mid 1700's.
