Surnames: Chantler/Trice/Bullen/Jillions Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/iUI.2ACIB/2004 Message Board Post: I am researching the surname Chantler, unfortunately I have found that most of the spelling of Chantler have been mis-transcribed to Chandler - so I thought I'd knock on the Chandler's door to see if I'd ring any bells.I have researched back so far to a George Chantler b 1808 Rudgwick, Sussex parents William & Sarah. He married round abt 1830 have yet to find marriage date. In the 1850 George moved to Kentish Town/St Pancras and married for the second time in 1867 a Maria Rebecca Hall. George was a Pianoforte maker by trade as was his sons and their sons. Have I rang any bells? Many thanks Linda
