Or if he had a Social Security Number, you can get a copy of his Social Security Application, which should show parents names. You would need to know if he had a SS number and where he died to check the Social Security Death Index, which would give the number. Good luck with your search. Don-in California. Hi ! Don, Joe died in 1984 in San Diego, CA. He did have a S.S. # of which Information I have obtained. His statement about his parents on the S.S. form states father's name was John J. Chandler, mother's maiden name unknown. However, on his marriage application he states his father's name as A. J. Chandler. He said that he left home at the age of eight years of age, which is apparent why he could not remember much about his childhood or family. He remembered that his mother died about 1902/3 but could not remember her name. ==================================================================== Looking for any CHANDLER family in the Spokane County, Washington area that had a son named JOE in 1900. This is my father born 1899. He may have lived in or had relatives in Yakima County. Joe said he lived in Spokane until the early 1920's, however I have not been able to locate him on the 1900, 1910 or 1920 census. I am just hoping to find someone who might have a document or bible that pertains to a Joe who left home at the age of eight and lived with ??? in Spokane or Yakima. Any clues, please contact, Dave Chandler - _Famsource@aol.com_ (mailto:Famsource@aol.com)
