Hi, I'm looking for any info., on the Chandler family living in Delphi, IN. James Chandler was there in 1860 he joined the civil war there and married a Roxanna Jones b. 1849 they married mar 1879 in Carroll county, IN. They had 3 children Charles, Nancy, Malinda. James died feb 1891 in Delphi, IN. And is buried in the I.O.O.F cem. Then I have a Robert Chandler b. 1831 in Delaware. he married a Melissa Timmons. His father was George and mother was Nancy Timmons. I'm not for sure how he fix's in. But I know that James lived with his brother William in the 1870's census for Delphi. William Chandler was b. 1842 in (Pickaway county?) OH. He married a Laura B. Shaffer b. 1848 Carroll county, IN., d. 1916 in Wabash, IN. They are both buried at the I.O.O.F cem., just north of Delphi. They married in 1866 in Delphi, IN. There children were Adelaide (Addie), William, Lewis, Arither, Walter, Jennice, Jessie. William and Robert also were in the civil war from Carroll county, IN. William Chandler b. 1842 in Pickaway county OH. Died 1880 in Carroll county IN. m. Laura B. Shaffer of Carroll county there children were Adelaide, William, Lewis, Arither, Walter L., Jennice, Jessie. Walter L. Chandler m. Elzora Free in 1899 one child Raymond D. Chandler m. Gula Phillips in Indianapolis, IN. There children were Raymond D., Bernailda, Walter C., Earl E. Walter C. Chandler m. Joann Workman in Indianapolis, IN. there children are (Earl E. (Me)), Walter C., Robert L., Donna, Mike, Marilyn. William had a brother with him in Carroll county IN. James Chandler. William is my BRICK WALL. Also looking for a William Chandler jr. b. 1869 in Delphi, IN. Died 15 Feb 1927 in Kokomo IN. He married a Alice E. Toohey b. 1870 d. 1902 buried at the St. Patrick cem.,Lageo, IN. His children were Adelaide Mary, John William . His 2nd. wife was Alice E. Fowler they had one child James F.Chandler. His mother lived with him when she died in 1916 (Laura B. Shaffer). William's sister Jessie married a Wilbur G. Kendall and lived in Wabash, IN. Also. (Indiana, Carroll county, Delphi.)
