Dear Chandler Cousins and Friends Time is drawing near and there is excitement in the air, as it is almost time for the 1999 Chandler Family Association Reunion to be held in Lake City Florida at the Holiday Inn, September 10-11. You do not have to be a member to attend the Reunion. (75 miles west of Jacksonville on I-10) (US Highway 90 at Interstate 75 & I-10 intersection). A private conference room will be available for Friday and Saturday with ample tables for display and overnight security for your books, photos and etc. There will be a large display of Chandler material and genealogy books for your reference. A photo copier will be available both days. Chandler family experts will be available to help with your own family history questions. CFA members, guests and the public are welcome and we promise to make you feel at home with our Chandler families. You are invited to bring your own group sheets, research materials, Pictures and etc. to share with our social and serious Chandler family historians. All day Friday, September 10th will be devoted to research and exchange of Chandler materials. Our air conditioned meeting room makes this a rain or shine event. There will be a short business meeting in the afternoon at 3pm with election of new officers. Lunch and dinner on your own - with numerous restaurants in the immediate area. On Saturday, September 11th, we will continue genealogical exchange in the AM and break for lunch at about 12:30 with a catered buffet. There will be a program after lunch and we may continue research and copying the rest of the day. There is no formal plan for Sunday - but some officers and researchers will be available for your questions in the AM. All 8 of our past reunions have exceeded our expectations. Participation remains high and each year our cousins and Chandler kin have discovered new roots and friends. This is a reunion of families and we promise you a warm and sharing experience. Come for the weekend or the day or lunch or just drop in - you have never seen this many Chandler reseachers at one place at one time who are eager to share.
