But, regarding the "sources" you mentioned, I am completely conversant with the few that your source listed don't contain all of the conclusions attributed to them - far from it, and your presumably professional genealogist should have so informed you if he/she was worth the money you paid him/her. The original, legitimate sources that say anything directly about the first few generations of Virginia Chandlers are actually relatively few - many often sited sources are actually secondary (i.e., copies or extracted from original sources) or tiertiary sources (i.e., third-hand or worse). Frequently, they become "embellished" in repetition, but a lot of the misinformation arises from suppositions presented as fact without caveats or admissions distinguishing facts from guesses. Anyway, 5 minutes with my articles and CFA "Newsletter" articles and you will see the difference between junk genealogy and real research.
