    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/iUI.2ACIB/693.734.1033.2.1.1.3.2.1.3 Message Board Post: Mr. Brooks, The information upon which you are relying is woefully out of date. Do you now how old the Robins material is? Some of the new information has now been available for up to 10 years, but people continue to simply repeat what they find on the WWW. The new information has been compiled by original research in original records by the Chandler Family Association and me, working together and independently. If you will post your most REMOTE (earliest) ancestor or two, with dates, maybe I can suggest more specific sources. Meantime, the best way to start - which will give you some information and more than 250 footnotes (REAL RECORDS) for follow-up and more details - is to read my articles in "Tidewater Virginia Families" commencing with the August/September 2000 issue. TVF is available at most libraries carrying Virginia genealogical periodicals. You probably should focus on the that article + Part II (May/June 2001) and Part III (May/June 2002). Back issues of TVF are also available - as long as they last - from the publisher, who may be reached at <tvf@erols.com>. Among the many errors in the few lines of your message (which I understand you got from someone else) is the fact that 1610 (not 1609) immigrant John Chandler (b. 1600) DID NOT come over as the servant of Thomas Willoughby. Willoughby, who was about 1 year YOUNGER than John Chandler, came later in 1610 and, obviously, was a child in 1610 - like John Chandler. Certain issues of the "Newsletter" of the Chandler Family Association may also be useful to you, but I can't tell until I know more about your line.
