Hi ! Mapuckett; This is an excellent clue and I have checked it out. This Joseph was Joseph Neal Chandler who also moved to San Diego as did my father. I could hardly believe that his parents might have been in San Diego in 1930 with my father. It appears that this Joseph Neal also raised a boy named Joe (Culbertson) Chandler b. 1898 in Georgia. I was almost ecstatic thinking this was my father, however the California state death records show this Joe died before my father who died in 1984. In a message dated 3/18/2005 5:25:45 P.M. Or if he had a Social Security Number, you can get a copy of his Social Security Application, which should show parents names. You would need to know if he had a SS number and where he died to check the Social Security Death Index, which would give the number. Good luck with your search. Don-in California. Hi ! Don, Joe died in 1984 in San Diego, CA. He did have a S.S. # of which Information I have obtained. His statement about his parents on the S.S. form states father's name was John J. Chandler, mother's maiden name unknown. However, on his marriage application he states his father's name as A. J. Chandler. He said that he left home at the age of eight years of age, which is apparent why he could not remember much about his childhood or family. He remembered that his mother died about 1902/3 but could not remember her name. ==================================================================== Looking for any CHANDLER family in the Spokane County, Washington area that had a son named JOE in 1900. I am hoping for contact with someone who is researching the family of Jeremiah Chandler. He was born 12/1843 in KY, and died 1914 in Indiana. He was married twice: 1) to June Unknown children were: Ida, born abt 1867 John O., born abt 1869 Alfred C., born 3/22/1870 2) marriage was to Mary Ann Baugh on 8/22/1873 in Scott County, Indiana children were: Nolan D., born abt 1875 Lemira E., born abt 1876 J. W., born abt 1880 Ernest, born 9/1886 Note: in the 1900 census, Mary says she was mother to 9 children, 4 are living. Jeremiah S. (Jerry) Chandler was the son of John A. Chandler and Nancy Unknown. Jeremiah lived in the Jennings area of Scott County, Indiana. My primary interest is in Jeremiah's second wife, Mary Ann Baugh Chandler. She was born 9/1846 in Russell County, KY, and appears to have died prior to 1910 in Scott County, IN. mary was the daughter of Solomon Baugh and Martha Triplett Baugh. hi i am trying to find any info on the Chandler families who lived in gloucestershire and monmouth areas in england in the 1800,ss has anyone got my strays in there family?????? many thanks bronwyn
I am trying to find the birth and parents of the above. I know the following: James Chandler & Joan (maiden name unknown) were the parents of Robert & Margaret. Robert was baptised on 11 July 1703 at Fladbury, Worcestershire, England and Margaret in January 1704 at the same location. I believe that Robert married Elizabeth and moved to South Littleton and settled there. The line then passes through several generations in South Littleton, Badsey and Wickhamford to my wife who is the 6xGreat Granddaughter of Robert. I would be grateful for any information about Robert and his father James (and confirm that this is the same Robert as the one in South Littleton) and also any other info about the Chandlers in the Vale of Evesham Peter R Thompson Bedworth Warwickshire UK
Hi Bronwyn, My Chandlers come from Buckinghamshire, if that's any help. Eileen
Hello Bronwyn I can probably help you with CHANDLERs in Gloucestershire and Monmouth in the 1800s. There were lots in GLS but few in MON. Please post the details you have, together with your questions, and I will do my best. I am looking for Patricia C. Spiller whose great-grandfather was Charles Edgar Chandler. I may have information of interest to her. Any help is greatly appreciated. Jeannette CHANDLER Murray
All Chandlers found in the records of Hillcrest Cemetery located on Stanton Rd. in East Point , Ga. Are listed below. This does not include names buried before 1922 back to 1893 (Establishment) as a fire destroyed those records.(If marked, could be found via a foot search) Also, does not include burials from the past 7 years as recent burials were not entered. Some, even though buried in years where burials were being entered in or were not destroyed in the fire may also be missing. If this is the case and you are related and know for sure of a burial not listed, please notify us. If you see someone in your family line and want to know if a cause of death is listed, please email and I will check to see if it happens to be included with that particular burial. Below are the Chandler Records, Thanks Hillcrest Cemetery Memorial Association. After, I sent this I realized that I had not added the County for Hector township in PA. It is Potter County. There is not Hector County in PA Thank you. Marilyn The only public record that I have found of the woman that I am searching for is on the second marriage application of her only known child. Martha Adeline Hibbard Shaver Mattison known as Addie. In 1905 in Stueben county, NY , Addie married George Matison. On her marriage application she says her parents were Hiram and Charlotte Chandelier Hibbard. Charlotte may have been born or lived in Yates County, NY. In checking the marriage licenses of all of Addie 13 children it is agreed that she was born in Sunderlinville, Hector, Potter County, PA. Family tradition says that Hiram Hibbard was killed in the Civil War. It may be that Charlotte is dead by 1880. In 1880, Addie is living in Michigan with her first husband Frank Shaver. They are living next to Frank's parents, John and Juliette Chase Shaver. Any and all help and suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you in advance Marilyn Bess
