Hooray ! , I found a Joseph B. Chandler in Pacific County, Washington on the 1920 Federal Census. This Joe is w/m age 25 ( b. 1895 Illinois ) single, Father b. Indiana, Mother b. Iowa. I can't make out his occupation, but it looks like Foreman Comanchos ???. Here is the kicker; My father Joe Buster Chandler, whom I am searching, was born in the state of Washington, according to his own words, town and county of Spokane, on the date of Sept. 09,1899. He thought his Father was from Des Moines, Iowa and Mother was English. This is the one and only Joseph B. Chandler that I have found through 1900/1920 in Washington State. I suppose this is my father, but there is a discrepancy between the birth date and location of birth. Now that I have found this Joseph B. Chandler, how would I go about trying to trace him from Pacific Co. ? Dave - [email protected]

Fellow Researchers Something I found in a news letterand thought it may help someone. Jewell Chandler Kennedy CHANDLER Lt Col William H Chandler, Rt 1 Box 189, Hemingway SC 29554 seek parentage of John Chandler of Jeffreys Creek , Craven Co SC[within Welch Tract) who was granted 400 acres 22 Mar 1745. The plat prepared by James Gillespie, Surveyor, refers to "Manahany Oil Field" which may indicate a settlement by Daniel MONAHAN. John PERKINS and Joseph ELLISON held land nearby, John CHANDLER d pr 2 May 1778, when the 400 sc tract was sold by his eldest son, George CHANDLER, to Zachariah NETTLES and it is probable that a water-powered mill had already been built (which was expanded and is today known as MULDROW's Mill near Florence SC). Rees PERKINS a grandson of Daniel REES of New Castle DE, d 1767 leaving as executors his widow Elizabeth (COLSON) PERKINS, and George and Samuel CHANDLER (sons of John CHANDLER). James PERKINS s/o Rees PERKINS, m Margaret CHANDLER, Joseph CHANDLER s/o John, was a founder of Ebenezer Baptist church west of Florence, while sons George and Samuel joined the Salem/Black River Presbyterian Church south of Lynches River. John CHANDLER was probably born c 1701 Did he migrate from DE/PA with the Welch settlers?

Sara, I have a line back to your Thomas Chandler and Hannah Brewer. My info. indicates that Thomas was born in 1630 in England and died 1703 in Andover, MA. Hannah was born ca. 1630 and died 25 Oct 1717 in Andover. The were married about 1651. My descent is through Thomas Chandler, Jr. brother of your Sarah. I have another line that goes back to Hannah Chandler, sister of Thomas, Sr. My reference is page 29 of the book the Chandler Family. Sorry I don't have a more complete description of the book at hand. If you don't know the line behind Thomas, get back to list again; we've had a discussion of it recently.
