    2. Richard, I, too, have a Shadrack M. Chandler, who was the son of Samuel Chandler and Elizabeth ? (we think, Lisbon). Samuel was born in Rockingham, Harrisburg, VA, in 1803 d. 25 Sept 1882 and b. Old Amite Bapt Church, Livingston Parrish, LA. Shadrack was born in Amite Co., MS, on 23 Feb 1824 and d. Basinger, Osceola Co, FL on 16 April 1898. Shadrack and wife, Adaline Tucker, were md. in 1845 in Livingston Parrish, LA. In the 1860's they moved to Tampa, Florida and then on to Osceola, Co. Shadrack and Adeline had 10 children: Samantha Chandler 1846-1934 md. William Underhill Licentia Chandler b. 1848 md. Peyton S. Pearce Willis Wells 1850-1930 md. Ada K. 3. Hello Cousins, Does anyone connect to Shadrack Chandler who died abt 1840 in DeKalb Co., Georgia? His wife may have been Anne Brummett. FTM CD's have a Shadrack marrying Anne 8/10/1789 in Franklyn Co. VA and marrying her again 4/10/1790 in KY. I know he was in both places and the times are right but I'm confused. According to family papers, Shadrack's father was Joel Chandler. Joel and several of his sons, including Shadrack, fought in the Rev War. Joel lived in Lunnenburg Co., VA and moved to Greeneville District, South Carolina sometime after 1769. If anyone connects with this family, please contact me. Richard L. Sausman [email protected]

GOODWIN William CHANDLER, the father supposedly lived with his parents, Zachariah CHANDLER and Sarah ECKLES in Franklin County and Coweta County, GA prior to moving to Perry County, Alabama. (This connection has not been proven.) He was listed in the 1840 Federal Census still living in Perry Co, AL. He then moved his family from Alabama to El Dorado, Arkansas. I'm sure he traveled through MS but I haven't been successful in locating him there. He died after being given a bad smallpox vaccine. He was a hotel owner, of "Chandler's Tavern" and was acting sheriff upon his death in 1863 during the Civil War. After his death, his hotel in El Dorado was sold to the Armstrong family and became known as the "Armstrong Hotel". Any connecting information on this family will be appreciated. Pam

    1. Joel Burnham CHANDLER-Harriet PARKER
    2. Hello, Chandler Cousins! I’m looking for information about Joel Burnham Chandler and his wife Harriet Parker, who went west to Stephen’s Point, Wisconsin before the Civil War with their little daughter Louisa Maria Chandler, born in 1851 in Lowell, Massachusetts. Louisa married David W. Switzer on July 19, 1869 in Clinton, Iowa. Louisa and David were my great grandparents. I do not know anything about Joel Burnham Chandler except the family tradition that he was also from the Essex County area of Massachusetts. Harriet Parker was the daughter of Asa Parker (March 17, 1791- April 7, 1814) and Elizabeth Richardson (b. June 16, 1797), both of Dracut. I have a drawing of Harriet Parker Chandler looking sad and serene, and an old photograph of Harriet with her sister and their eight brothers, the brothers looking solemn and the sisters tired - perhaps too much laundry and cooking for all those brothers? Can anyone shed any light on this mystery? I would love to track down those eight brothers and hear from Chandler cousins! Many thanks! Pollysyrch

    2. David Dangerfield
    3. Dear List, I am writing this in re. to the recent "sinful" email. I want you to know that as a part of the Family of God, that covers the world, we should not allow this. Though, I am not perfect, the Bible teaches us that it is wrong. We should all be in constant moral attention to the things we allow to come into our lives. I hope that none of you actually kept the email or used it, I hope you all erased it. In the book of Ephesians, chapter five, it clearly states that not even a hint of sexual immorality will enter the gates of heaven. All have sined and fall short of the glory of God, but Remember in everything, that Jesus is lord and Savior and whoever call upon him will be saved. See you in heaven. David Dangerfield
