It is my understanding that Agnes F. O'Day Chamberlain, b. 3 Nov 1891, and her brother Anthony O'Day Chamberlain, b. Oct 1888, are the children of Anna B. Cloonan by her first marriage to Patrick O'Day, and these children took the surname of Chamberlain from Anna's second husband, Edgar S. "Eddie" Chamberlain, whom she married 31 Oct 1899, Chicago, IL, and by whom Anna had a son named Theodore E. Chamberlain, b. 1902. Edgar Chamberlain was born Nov 1861, PA (prob. Summerhill Twp., Crawford Co.), d. after 1930, prob. Tulsa, OK, the 3rd of 5 known children of Theodore Chamberlain, b. about 2 Jan 1826, NY, d. 12 Oct, 1902, prob. Van Buren Co., MI, whose wife was Nancy (-?-), b. c1837, NY, d. after 1880, prob. Van Buren Co., MI. This Theodore is about the 6th of at least 15 children of Simeon Chamberlain, b. abt. 1 Apr 1793, NY or NJ (as calculated from his gravestone inscription)! , d. 6 Jun 1866, prob. Crawford Co., PA, and his wife Olive Martha Van Buren, b. abt. 31 Mar 1801, NY, d. 17 Oct 1881, Lawton Twp., Van Buren Co., MI, married c1817, prob. NY. These families have been traced in census data from 1930 back to 1820, with input from various other sources including other researchers. Simeon Chamberlain is first listed in the 1820 census in Caledonia, Genesee Co., NY, p. 099: 2001-001 (age 16-26), a young farmer. His origins are unknown at present, but careful analysis of 1800-1810 census data indicate he could possibly be a son or nephew of Hines/Hinds(6) Chamberlain, one of the very earliest settlers in Northampton, Ontario Co., NY, in 1800-01 (this part of Ontario Co. later located in Caledonia, Genesee Co., NY), who lived in Caledonia in 1810, and whose ancestral line of descent is known to be Henry(5), Henry(4), Henry(3), Henry(2), Henry(1) Chamberlin.
