I am looking through the IGI Records from the LDS Church website as we speak for more information. The only marriage taking place in the County of Nottingham between a William Chamberlain/Chamberlin and Ann (Last name unknown) between 1795-1805 is one between William Chamberlain and Ann Bowering on 24 November 1800 in Markham, Nottingham which makes sense for the christening date you found for William in Newark-Upon-Trent, Nottingham on 9 August 1802 since he is the eldest son and the dates fit perfectly for such. Also, Markham and Newark-Upon-trent are only 18 miles from one another--very possible distance. Also, I think that Fanny Leatherland and Frances Leatherland are one and the same. The marriage record found for William Chamberlain and Frances Leatherland on 16 December 1828 in Radford, Nottingham and the christening of a Fanny (a common nickname for Frances) Leatherland on 15 July 1804 in the very same place (Radford) make it highly probable they are one and the same. I also found only one marriage taking place between a John Leatherland and a Hannah in Nottingham sometime before 1804 (John Leatherland and Hannah Daft on 28 March 1796 at St. Peter's Church in Nottingham (just a few miles from the area of Radford where Frances was christened). If you have anymore information, I'd love to hear from you. My friend is ecstatic and I continue searching through the IGI. His great grandfather was Charles B. Chamberlin, eldest son of Theophilus & Amy Chamberlain. My personal e-mail address if mlabrego@pobox.upenn.edu or guinnesscub@hotmail.com Looking forward to hearing from you. Most Sincerely, Miguel Labrego
