Under his name is the statement: "Married to Abbie Chamberlin". I enjoy rescuing lovely old pictures like these from antique shops and locating descendants/family members so that I can re-unite the pictures, for only my costs, with people who will treasure them. It is my estimate that the photo of Tom Powers was taken in about the 1890 era. The photo was taken by the Leisenring's Studio in Mt. Pleasant, IA, which is in Henry Co. It is mounted on heavy cardboard, as was typical during that time period, is in very good condition and is an original (not a copy). . Tom is a handsome man of about age 30+or-, and is wearing a suit with a vest, a watch chain, and is standing posed next to an ornate gate of some type in the photographer's studio. He has dark hair and a wide mustache.
