OH; Susannah, age 32, b. VA; William H., age 9, b. OH; John R., age 8, b. OH; Mary A., age 5, b. OH; Martha, age 2, b. OH; Isaac, age 6/12, b. OH - 1860 Census, Bloomfield, Rock Hill P. O., Jackson Co., OH, p. 049, Hickolas H. Chamberlain, #704/679, 30 Jun 1860, age 48, laborer, b. PA, illiterate; Susan, age 40, b. PA, illiterate; William H. H., age 19, laborer, b. OH I've not been able to trace this Nicholas Ch'n's ancestry in PA, and it is unknown just when he came to Gallia Co., OH. There is no one else listed nearby him in 1840. One could search OH & PA 1830 census records for this name (I haven't taken the time to do this), but it is unlikely he would have been listed as head of household at that time since he was only 18 years of age, but this is worth a try. Early Gallia & Jackson counties (or other nearby places), OH land, probate and other records might reveal something more.
