Bethel Twp., Fayette Co., IA, and his wife Dorcas M. Billings, m. 22 Jul 1845, Bethel, VT, daughter of William & Dorcas (Lamb) Billings. Evidently the first two children were born in Springfield, MA, then Francis in Windsor Co., VT, and the last three children in Bethel Twp., Fayette Co., IA, between 1856 and 1864. A biographical sketch for George W. Chamberlin appears in the Portrait & Biographical Album, Fayette Co., IA, 1891, listing his children, their spouses, etc. Considerable information on this family has been provided by descendant Lauri Doll of Lake Elsinore, CA.
