Chamberlain, b. 9 May 1845, Northampton or Plainfield, Hampshire Co., MA, d. 3 Jul 1910, and Sophia Hamilton, b. 1851 OH, d. 1928; son of Thaddeus (also called Theodore) Chamberlain, b. c1810 CT (or perhaps MA), d. 1886, Elsie, Duplain Twp., Clinton Co., MI, who married, 30 Dec 1841, in Plainfield, Hampshire Co., MA, Clarissa Stowell, b. 9 May 1811, Plainfield, MA, d. 1903, Clinton Co., MI, daughter of David Stowell and Mary Hollis. Thaddeus' presumed brothers were Alpheus and Libbeus (he settled in Ovid, Clinton Co., MI after living in East Bloomfield, Ontario Co., NY for many years). The parents of these three brothers have not, as yet, been identified, despite considerable searching I and other researchers have done.
