Sidney Chamberlain, b. c1873, Missouri, prob. Dallas, DeKalb Co., is the son of William Chamberlain, b. 2 Apr 1850, Princeton, Bureau Co., IL, d. 2 Jan 1925, whose wife was named Nancy. I have very little information on them, but here's a census listing for them: - 1880 Census, Dallas, DeKalb Co., MO, Wm. Chamberlain, p. 215B, head, age 29, IL/VT/IL; Nancy, wife, age 29, MO/-/-; Sidney, son, age 7, MO/IL/MO; Virginia, dau., age 1, MO/IL/MO. William is 1 of 7 known children of Ebenezer (7) Chamberlain, b. 18 Nov 1821, prob. Putney, Windham Co., VT, d. Feb 1899, prob. Grand River, Daviess Co., MO, whose was married 1849, prob. in Illinois,, to Elizabeth Boyd, b. 2 Jan 1822, IL, d. 2 Apr 1915, perhaps Grand River, MO - her parents were natives of NY State. Called "Eben", he moved to Daviess Co., MO, about 1861-62. The ancestral line of descent is listed as: Nathaniel(6), Thaddeus Stone(5), Jacob(4), Jacob(3), Jacob(2), William(1), one of the five original Chamberlain immigrant ancesters in early New England.
