Ok...if anyone remembers me saying that I "heard" someone say "I've cut my finger off" and that my bro-in-law wouldn't use his knife that evening because I told him about it. Well, I had ruled out it being any of the kids because whoever said it was calm and not excited or screaming. Well, just found out yesterday that my Grand-daughter cut of a big part of her finger on the seam of her neighbors swimming pool. She'll need skin graphs to make it look remotely normal, but she's dealing with it very well. Her Mom said she didn't get excited, their neighbor is an RN and he took care of it, since there was nothing to put back on, they are just taking her to doc next week to see about the graphting. Wish us luck with this one. That's one of those times you wish you had seen or heard more....or that I could at least figure "who" it is. Gets frustrating at times, but I really do wish I understood it and learn to use it better. It's never been anything that would affect me directly...always about someone else. I guess someday, I'll know what I need to....never more than I can handle I guess. Shelley
There will be an Annual Inter-Tribal Pow-Wow at Jonesboro, AR on the ASU campus. Oct. 21-22. For anyone who would like details, email me and I'll get you all the info or aswers I can. There will be Kiowa from Oklahoma, Chahta from MS, and others including me the Oklahoma Chahta there. Lots of inter-tribal dances. There will be venders and the AIA of Millington, TN will be there. Lots of really nice people, so come join us. I can help with directions, motels (if needed), etc. Feel free to email me with any questions and I'll try to find an answer. [email protected] Shelley
I remember. I am so sorry about your daughter. Hope her little finger gives her no problems. They can do a lot of good work with skin graft. Yes we are given what we can handle at the time. Hugs to you, your granddaughter, and her mother too.
