First of all, Columbus did make the mistake of calling the many nations in South America ... Indian as in eastern Indians (India). Being 3/4 Choctaw, I have always felt like I like being called Native American from the Chahta Nation. But I believe the canadians are right about the First Nation. From the historical aspect of it Chahtas were among the FIRST in the Americas... One proud CHATA!
