    1. [CHAHTA] GNATS
    2. They are really bad the last few days here. The ones in the house have been drawn to a sweet smelling tub of soapy water and drown. My friend always have mosquitos around his house in great numbers; he places a bucket half full of soapy water outside and places a string across the top which has been sprayed with what ever perfumes he can find. It is surprising how many die in the bucket. (Personally I prefer a bug zapper for hours of entertainment--not much to do around here you know.) To keep them from bitting you use an extract of lemon grass or any other plant containing citronella in it but be careful not to rub it in your eyes. rusty

    3. Thanks Rusty. I have all kinds of new ideas to try now. Let's see if they all work. If a person could find and market some thing to do away with these pests, they could make a fortune here!! 3. Do you have these where you live? They appear as clouds some times cuz there are so many in the swarm and there are all ways many swarms as well. I do understand your reasoning, I think. Some thing like upsetting the balance of nature..... I agree, don't want to eradicate them, just repel them from my property so I can work in the garden and yard with out getting eaten up by them. Here it's the gnats, then mosquitoes, then flies and snakes you have to watch for. Coyotes are getting pretty brave as well... kids just saw one in the front yard. I LOVE Oklahoma!!!!!!!!
