Halito, List. Among those of you who have studied the history of the Mississippi Choctaw, have any of you ever run across a map that shows the principal trails and paths used in the central Mississippi area; that is maps other than those that appear in Cushman, Kidwell, Debo, etc. If you have, I surely would like to learn what you have found. I am trying to reconstruct where the frequently used paths and trails were located and through which counties they ran. I suspect there were very likely many that branched off the original route of the Natchez Trace and currently have an inquiry into Southern Mississippi University where the complete Natchez Trace Collection is housed. On this list, there is so much collective knowledge, I thought it would be a good idea to share this question with all of you. Yakoke ! Great Arla, My Great Uncle had a place around Coalgate. I would love to buy the old home place. It has what I want on it. He built a lake and everything on it. We loved to go to Uncle Elijah Kirby's home place. It was my dream place. I loved the trees and all the wildlife. Maybe you have heard of the Kirby's from there I don't know. Dad was born in 1924. My Grandmother and Grandfather lived in Clarita when my Dad was born. GrandMa ia Choctaw and her surname is Guynes. She is the one who is buried Weleetka but her married name after she divorced my Grandfather was Maynard or Mainard. Arla could you do me a favor in your spare time and let me know what land is going for around your area or if your in Weleetka check it out for me. Your a doll for doing this. Now just do it in your spare time please don't make a special effort as it will be a while before my money comes in. Have a wonderful Easter. HAPPY EASTER TO ALL ON THIS LIST TOO!!!
