I've been a Graham Green fan for years... and his roll in Thunderheart was excellent. :-) Lots of good Native humor. Thunderheart is a very good Indian movie rather your interested in Leonard Peltier are not. For the best reading material read "IN THE SPIRIT of CRAZY HORSE". This book is excellent you can't put it down. Halito! I didn't have any problem accessing both sites. Maybe they were just busy. I sent a messages last night telling why Leonard is in jail I have received it did the list get it? Dodie
Well, it all started with a pair of stolen used cowboy boots and a trailer home on Pine Ridge Rez.... in a matter of moments, the trailer home became a "compound"... There were a lot of tensions on that particular reservation between traditionalists and non-traditionalists... a LOT Of unexplained deaths that go unsolved til this day... I believe he was charged with the murder of two FBI agents...who were shooting at him. There are several Intertribal groups in TX and there is a American Indian Coalitions in Houston. These are great places and ways to be in contact with other Indian people. I think most of the larger cities have the Intertribal ones.
Today is Leonard Peltiers birthday. He has spent 25 years of his life in prison for protecting Indian people. Just today only, I will post the petition site asking for clemency for him and a free fax site for the same reason. If you are inclined please us these sites. Kinda aggravating isn't it? To "get information" then not know how to use it...I think that happens to a lot of people, and maybe it's just a matter of growing into understanding how to use it...MAYbe it's a lot like being in the same room with a million other people all talking at once...they say many things and how are we sposed to know which conversations to respond to? Which ones have meaning for us or require action from us? It's stuff like this that makes me see how "young and inexperienced" we yet are...B. -- On Thu, 7 Sep 2000 22:39:34 Choctaw wrote: >Ok...if anyone remembers me saying that I "heard" someone say "I've cut my >finger off" and that my bro-in-law wouldn't use his knife that evening >because I told him about it. Shelly , I live in north mississippi , but went to last years pow-wow at ASU with the Tia-Piah Gourd Dancers and to be there to help mom and dad . they were set up as vendors and did well that day ! Tailgate parties did get loud , but we left right after dark to make sure mom and dad got back home to Henning tn. alright .I remember the great food we were served there also ! it was a good one day pow-wow ! Ron
Ron, Are you from the Trumann Area? I met a man from around Trumann or Harrisburg at the pow-wow last year and I would recognize him but can not think of his name. The Pow-Wow is not homecoming weekend this year like it was last year. That should cut out the tailgate parties and rock music right next door. Now the bunch of Cub & Boy Scouts running around might be a whole new experience. My son is a Cub Scout, so we'd be there either way. I just hope it doesn't interfere with the Pow-Wow at all. Hope to see you there, should be good weather!!! Shelley
Shelly , I hope this year there is not a game the same day, like last year ! Hope to see you there . Ron

Yakoke Dodie, I think these "visions" aren't given to us for us to do something about or change things, but as a warning, as a chance to prepare, be careful. None of my dreams, visions, hearings or etc have ever really changed anything, just that when it happens, I knew it was going to. Oh well....what's next? :) Shelley
