I have a Cred S. Chadwell, birth and death dates and spouse the same as you mentioned. He was High Sheriff of Lee County, VA. His parents were: Harvey Chadwell and Fannie Ayers, I found Cred's info in the 1900 Census of Balls Mill Precinct, Lee County, VA. Harvey was b. 22 Sept. 1887 in Virginia and d. June 1976 in Ewing, Lee Co., VA. Cred's family can be found in Hattie M. Boles', Early Settlers of Lee County, Virginia, Vol. II, Page 912. I have no brothers and sisters listed for Cred, there were probably more, but I haven't followed this exact line that far.
