Do you mean Bryant Chadwell who lived in the early 1800s and married second Hannah Gough, widow of Thomas Gough of Stafford Co., VA? Hannah is my ancestor, mother of James Gough who came to Surry Co. NC around 1800.....I have also been looking for information about Bryant Chadwell, trying to find out information about Hannah - I don't know anything about Bryant's first wife, the mother of his children and don't have anything definitive on Bryant's children either....these are very elusive folks although I have found him in a few records in Stafford Co. - at one time Fauquier & Stafford were part of the same county I believe.... Anyway I just wanted to say that I am aware of Bryant Chadwell and I'm also looking for information on him. I am looking for William Chadwell who married Martha Bradberry in Bolivar, Polk County, MO on March 28, 1870. She had at least one child before she married him, Ida Ann, who was shot in 1872. My ggrandmother, was either Martha's or William's from a previous relationship as she was born in 1866. There is also a son, William Samuel Chadwell who was born in 1869. Any help would be appreciated, they aren't enumerated in the 1870 census unless the spelling is WAY off! I have looked for them in AR, TX and MO. Swafford of Franklin; one daughter Ruth Bagosy of Indianapolis; three brothers, Gene Chadwell, G.C. Chadwell, and Shelby Chadwell; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. She retired from Arvin Industries where she worked as a laborer for 21 years. A service will be conducted on Saturday at 2 p.m in Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood, IN. Have any Chadwells had their DNA tested? I am not a male Chadwell, but do have many cousins I could get to test for me. However, I think the paper trail to Revolutionary War David Chadwell is clear. But beyond him, do we have any well documneted genealogy? My ggradmother on my mother's side is a Chadwell.
