My solution also is to use the IRN as the organization feature, because it's very stable within one database. E.g. In my cft-phot-directory 00023-1.jpg is my first. 00023-11.jpg my eleventh picture for the individual with the IRN 23. 00023f-1.jpg is 23rds family, 00023s-1.jpg is 23 and spouse.
