I REMed the drivers and that freed it to 536K and the program opened. It gave me the improper closer warning. I checked my data and it seems OK. I installed CFT 2.30 and converted my data. Yes, I know 2.31 is out but I already had the 2.30 zip file downloaded. As it was converting my database it said my database was saved in something other than English and to translate my months to English. I've never used anything BUT English. When finished everything was in English including the months. Anything I should know before upgrading to 2.31? Also can I try out the Beta version also? >95 would not normally require DOS level drivers for the CD-ROM under normal >conditions. Well, I had an old external 2x CD-ROM drive and a internal NEC 4x4. I bought a new internal NEC 8x4. I attempted to enslave the two NECS giving me a total of 9 CD ROM drives! I thought I had it working but now the old 4x4 does not appear to be getting power because the CD trays won't open so you can put a CD in. I hope to fix it without causing any more problems!<G> Mr.T (Tracy Schell) from The Sunshine State.
