I hate to "beat a dead horse", but, once again, let me say that you CANNOT unsubscribe from a List, by REPLYING to an email posted to that List. When you do, the Subject: line is "RE: Whatever was the Subject of the Email to Which You are Replying." The software at RootsWeb, will NOT act on such a request as "unsubscribe", if the subject line starts with RE: This nagging matter does not pertain to all the Lists which I manage, but just thought I would send it out to all of them, so users would know, in the future, how to unsubscribe. To unsubscribe, the user MUST send a NEW message to the List!!!!! Please read the Welcome Message -- it tells how to unsubscribe. It pertains, in particular, to SURNAME-QUERY and RESEARCH-HOWTO.
