Here's what I did ... my images have file names where the first character is f or i for individual or family ... the next five are the individual's irn or the family's frn ... for individuals the seventh character is f if it is a facial portriat o for other for families the seventh character is g for group photo c for couple etc the last character the 8th is a number so that I can have up to ten portraits of each person by this system ... I store all of them in pcx format (greyscale) 2 inches high and about 150 dpi ... I have over 900 images attached to families and individuals in my database so far
