Ira and All, Further comments on the wonderful effort so far: 1. Only a small portion of the place-names in my database was converted from v.2 to v.3. and I cannot explain the why or wherefore of it. A few examples follow: Place-names which begin with # in V.2 # in V.3 (actual #) (# converted) number 5 22 0 " 7 17 1 letter D 16 11 " K 19 16 " W 33 25 2. There's a lot of flashing of screens at start-up; it takes longer to settle down than v.2. 3. V.3 appears slower overall than v.2. One example is Global Search. I performed the same search in v.2 and v.3. The example was searching for the word "Barnard" in three categories, Individual Note, Place Name, and Event Note (the word appears three times in the DB). I did this twice to make sure of the timing. The result was that the search was performed correctly by v.2 in 3-1/2 min. and in v.3 in 16-1/2 min.
