    3. G'day Erik, -------------SNIP--------------------- >My problem is now which place is the right one to choose. --------------SNIP-------------------- > Emigrated to UTAH (he must of course come from Denmark) -------------------SNIP------------- >The Standard Events in CFTW however say the opposite, viz >he: > Emigrated from Denmark ------------SNIP------------------------ >What is right and what is wrong? --------------SNIP------------ You raise a valid point but I think the dictionary definitions clarify and reinforce the CFTW method:- emigrant - one who emigrates, as FROM a native land.... immigrant - one who or that immigrates, a person who migrates INTO a country..... I too have the same problem with a few extra "bells and whistles" as, not only did my ancestors "migrate" but my family have also travelled all over as part of their occupation living for several years in other countries. I suppose I could put ALL such comments in the "notes" but I have made a User Event:- Transport Mode (TRAN) - "name" travelled to "place" by "ship name/aircraft" This I use after EMIG to give the details of that voyage with any further expansion in the "notes" or on its own in the work related sense. HURU, Mike
