>When you say the "reference is lost" do you mean that if you are selecting >a reference as a source (for individual or event) that if you pressed OK it >did not actually select the reference? Not sure I understand what you mean >by "lost". > Ira, I was actually converting single reference sources to reference and detail format The following sequence will hopefully clarify the problem I have encountered 1. From Editor menu select Source Editor - Source reference window opens and shows the first 5 entries (scroll for remainder) 2. Scroll down past the first 5 entries, and select a reference 3. Select List - to view events associated with your selected reference 4. Close the List window Anticipating a return to the reference selected in 2, the pointer has now gone to one of the top 5 entries of the reference source window, ie.the selected reference has been "lost". To continue editing you now have to reselect the reference. 5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 using the other Editors (place, misc. etc.) and you will see that the selection in step 2 has been retained after step 4; as you would expect. PS. Michael Calder alluded to this problem in his message 're:two level sources' posted to the group on 8th November 1998. Cheers, Brian
