Ira - Got it now! Thanks for the clues. "Word Code not in file " does involve the dates. I had a corrupted date in an event where I got that message. HOWEVER - there still is a problem in Story Options. When I go to Story Options and select Individual Notes and nothing else - Include Parent/Child Events - None; Include Free Format Dates - Do not show, then you get everything except event notes. AS SOON AS you click Include Event Notes, you lose everything except individual notes. Everything else seems to work OK except Include Event Notes.
