    3. Having given up on version 2.29 for now, especially since it did not seem to reload the old partial databases used to make my new combined one, I removed 2.29 using the new unistall icon and attempted to reload 2.27 from the Cleansweep backup. I noted that there were several files on the Windows directory it would not reload since they were already there, presumably not being removed by the uninstall. These included the 4 Lunds fonts. However, the program would not run since it could not find cw2run32.dll. I temporarily reinstalled 2.29 on the default directory and set the Cleansweep monitor to watch the install. However, it claimed that there were no data to record, and it had something to do with the program Regsvr32.exe, though I did not record the exact phrase used. I saw that indeed, there was a copy of cw32run32.dll on c:\cftw directory. However, I was unsure if it was the same as that for 2.27 so went to the back up tape, which included the system which contained 2.27. The file cw2run32.dll was there, and the size was identical to that on 2.29 (653,824 bytes). After reloading from the tape, 2.27 ran fine with the now combined database. There were no error messages about fonts as with 2.29. Also, so far there are no 160 errors on backing up the database. However, when I tried to obtain some of the old backup files, I started again having trouble. Initally it seemed to recover one, but after restoring another somehow the names got switched. i.e. it appears that you can load one database.zip file, but with another name. After looking at this one and removing it, the program will now no longer restore any of the partial databases that I created over last year but had used to combine into the now larger base. What happens now is that when I go through the motions for a restore by selecting a specific database (and entering the same name) it says that it was successfully restored, nearly instantly. However, all that it did was to create a file with that name, but no data below it. It is possible that these earlier backups were created with earlier versions of cftw and may be incompatible withe versions 2.27 or 2.29. Is this supposed to be the case? If I did wish to recover these, how would I do it? I no longer have tape backups of earlier versions of cftw. (I have also long since recycled the original floppy).
