Ira I have been back through the relationships and checked that the child is shown correctly. I also removed a marriage event for Male A and Female B, just adding an "Engagement of Marriage" to Female B, and reordered the multiple marriage order (under <EDIT> <Multiple Marriage Order>) to make Female B the first 'marriage' event for Male A. The "Engagement of Marriage" is also automatically listed in the events for Male A. The way the descendent report runs seems to be dependent on where this event is listed for Male A. If I list it in the correct chronological order, ie as occurring BEFORE Male A's marriage to Female C, then the report does not differentiate whose child the result of the first union was and I get the problem I first contacted you about. However, if I list the Engagement last in Male A's events (ie not in correct chronological order) then the report separates out the various events and says Male A and Female C were married and had the following children, then goes on and says Male A and Female B were engaged to be married and had the following children. This solves the confusion about whose child is whose, but leaves a chronology problem in Male A's events. I can live with this, but is there anything else I can do? Try removing that problem child (disconnect Fix Relationships) and then reconnecting. Are you certain that he is properly listed under the right couple? I would certainly double check all that. The betrothed Female B was pregnant but called off the marriage, later giving birth to a son. The Male A then later married another Female C and had three children. I listed the first woman Female B as "Engaged to be married" (and as a spouse) and showed the male offspring as a result of the union. Then I showed the second female Female C as a second spouse having married the Male A and producing three offspring. When I run the report, it says (under the Male A name) Male A engaged to Female B, then Male A married to Female C, then lists the children of the marriage, then lists the children of the premarital relationship saying "They had the following children" etc but it doesn't distinguish the fact that this child is the result of the first relationship. I haven't had this situation occur in other multiple relationships, and as a matter of fact I have anothe! >r situation in the same report, a defacto with children from the first marriage, that reports correctly. Can you advise please. PS I'm using CFT 2.26.
