I don't see a big problem here. You have several options: 1 - upon closing your db you make a backup - then your database and the backup are identical and show the latest inputs 2- you don' make a backup - then you have to decide whether 2a - you continue the next session with the most recent version of your db - or 2b - you restore your db from the previous backup and continue from that status but lose all inputs since your last backup. 3 - you copy your backups somewhere else or rename them and such have older versions available just in case. Since it happened to me that I incidentally clicked 'yes' when asked whether to overwrite the existing backup, probably an additional reminder would be handy ("are you sure you want to overwrite..."). Please remind that some of us thought an 'undo last operation button' would be a good idea - and I may add another wish: a window with a history list for an easy way to go back to previous key persons one has worked on.
