> When we down loaded the latest version of family tree, I first >discovered that It did not connect with the files that I had. My pictures >are still there, as well as all the data that I put in, but when I turn on >my family tree, it tells me that there is no records. Then the next time I >got into it, there was a language error. Now it tells me there is a date >Conversion error. If I sit for an hour and keep pressing the continue >button, it will eventually load up the program. We even tried putting the >old version back in, but it is the same thing. I Have tried putting in my >old reg. No. but it will not work either. > Could you please help me get my data back into place. Now that you have gone through all the date conversion stuff, do you not have access to the database? The program was updating your data from Version 1 to the current Version 2.27 and did some conversions along the way. The date conversion problem is common when it comes across a date it could not interpret. When you were done with that process you should have been into the database as usual. If you are into the database and the line says - Add Individual - does the status bar on bottom tell you that there are a number of records? What about doing a NameSearch? DO you come up with names? If you Try to find by entering IRN #1 does it come up? Ira ---------------------------------------------------------- Ira J.
