Just recieved a note from another user that the source of the problem is a mix-up in the labels. Disk #2 Win95 is actually Disk #2 Win 3.1 and vise-versa. Anyone experiencing this problem can actually resolve it by switching labels on the Disk #2s. (Boy I sure was puzzled as to what caused the corruption, but this seems to be a likely answer.)
