Hello Ira (and all the others), I'm very satisfied with CFTW and I'm enthusiastic about the new developements since the first version for Windows, which I acquainted some years ago. I have taken the necessary steps to registrate via Robbert de Groot, France. I'm new to this list, so I don't know what others already suggested for the future of CFTW. I do have some suggestions for the future. 1) I would like to keep my photo's in an other subdirectory, which can be addressed from CFTW. I use the photo's also for maintaining my genealogical website, so it's not very handy that they are amidst the data-files of CFTW. I can imagine that there are already people with their foto's on a CD-ROM to preserve disk-space. For them it would be handy too, I presume. 1a) In addition to this: there maybe should come an option in the BACKUP-function to exclude the photo's. In my case, I have a backup of my photo's on a safe place, so I don't need to spend much time and diskspace to ZIP them every time again. 2) I see the CFTW-program not only as a way to print reports and indexed books, but also as a 'expertise-centre' of my family. Therefor I would like to add not only photo's of as many familymembers as possible, but also record some audiofragments of their voices. Maybe there is a possibility to include for instance the Real Audio-player into the Photo-screen? Or would that give much difficulties with copyrights and so on? 3) My ancestry goes back into the Middle Ages. I've found some records which are specific to that particularly situation, such as: at what date my ancestor became a 'poorter' (burgher) of Antwerp. I don't think that it does make much sense that Ira adds all such specific wishes to his program, but maybe he can add about 10 auxiliary fields, which one can program himself with text via the language-editor. In that case it would be handy if this sort of personal improvement would 'survive' the update to a newer version. I hope this suggestions make some sense...
