    3. Ira I have always had the backup problem. I have my setup to automatically save on exit. When I close the database I get a 160 error or a 280 error. I then CLOSE that dialogue box and the dialogue box with NEW OPEN DELETE BACKUP RESTORE EXIT shows. If I then select BACKUP I get a dialogue box with the preferred path (which for me is a:\ as I backup onto floppies) and it works OK from there. I have had a look under Options at Database Configuration and the destination for the backup file is set as c:\cftw\databasename. If I try to change this to a:\ the computer crashes! Any suggestions? I suspect that only those who responded had any problem and that most people do not have a problem. I think I can solve the problem by deliberately deleting any existing backup file with the same name before over-writing the backup file itself. Thanks for your comments.
