I would first make sure that the Gedcom file is 100% up to vers. 5.5 standard. Many Gedcom files are not correct in their syntax. But true, I have had a similar problem importing Gedcom files that have one or more family with only one parent, i.e a family without a spouse. I have only seen problems occur in case of single females. I am sure Ira is looking at the matter. Erik
