Yes that is what I do. Just preview the page and then move on without printing. All the pages will then bebin correct order and the index upgraded. Not sure how you do this. When I am in the "Book" dialog box all I can do is "Print" and if I am not using Fine print it goes to the printer and paper and ink. Looking again at page 135 of the manual, Ira says: 2. Begin printing each report beginning at the third item. (If you print the Table of Contents before other reports are printed, the page numbers will not show up properly in the Table of Contents. You may actually print the Title page at any time you wish.) Sooooo. I guess you can start at the "third item" do an EDIT -> PRINT PREVIEW for each subsequent item (chapter etc.) and you will achieve the same as if you did the "Begin printing each report..." mentioned above without using paper. Is this what you mean? Merry Christmas... Mike. Yes I have done all this but the problem appears to be that when blank pages are inserted, on which you can do an EDIT - but not a PRINT or PREVIEW as soon as you select an option to print the book it will print OK until it gets to a blank page and then an error message appears saying "SORRY THIS REPORT HAS NOT BEEN WRITTEN" this then throws out the remaining page numbers. I have tried Mikes suggestion of placing text in the blank page title such as "This Page left intentionally blank" but it makes no difference, except that the Table of Contents then has an item called "This page is left intentionally blank" Perhaps Ira can help on this. please. Think I will leave this until after the holiday.
