    3. Mike I actually did do a dummy print starting at the first chapter by printing to a pdf file, but firstly I did a print preview of each report. As I did each preview the page numbers appeared in the book list of chapters and topics, they all looked fine. The preview of the Index and Sources looked OK but as soon as I selected the print option on the book the first chapter printed OK then the second chapter began at page 1 and so on. The only way I seem to be able to get around this is by printing each report (using the starting at page no. xx option)to individual PDF files and then printing out in that way. Trying to print the whole book just does not work. I am in a bit of a rush but I think this is covered in the manual. You have to do a "dummy" print of the whole book starting at the first chapter to get the pages, indexes, contents correct. I actually print to a PDF file using FinePrint. I think there is a way to print to another text etc. file the idea being not to waste paper and ink. When that has been done you then print the book properly but you must print all in one hit - again I think. BTW - using the PDF output enables you to SEE that it all looks OK before using the paper. Hence my current conversation with Ira in a "Chapter of DOCUMENTS" ;-) Have fun.... Mike. 3. Mike Further to my last message I think I have found the problem but don't know a way around it. I placed a descendent story starting at page 3 in the book. I then placed 4 blank documents in at the next page after the descendent story which happened to be page 22. Each blank was one page in length (pages 23, 24, 25 and 26). At page 27 I then inserted another descendent story. When I began to print the whole book it started at page 3 (missing the contents and title page) but when it came to page 23 I got an error message saying "this story has not been printed yet", likewise I got the same error for pages 24-26. The book then continued printing the next descendent story but started at page number 22 (rather than page 27). In other words it would not include the blank pages in the book. Even though I had edited each one prior to printing in order to get the page numbers in sequence. Note that there is no print or preview option when editing a blank page. Is this a bug in the program for printing the book when including blanks, or is there a way around this?
